ABOUT ME

EXPERIENCE

I have been a piano tuner/technician for 25 years,  working with numerous private clients as well as many prestigious institutions in the Chicago area, including:

  • Roosevelt University

  • Trinity University

  • Northwestern University

  • Merit School of Music

  • New Trier High School
    (Piano Technician for 19 years)

  • Lyric Opera of Chicago (Harpsichord Tuning)

  • University of Chicago Presents (Harpsichord Tuning)

ACCREDITATION

I am a Registered Piano Technician with the Piano Technicians Guild.  This level of accreditation is only achieved after passing three very challenging exams (written, tuning, and technical) and represents the highest standard of quality in the maintenance, repair, and tuning of pianos.

I have also been privileged to attend the Steinway Technical Academy at the Steinway factory in Queens, NY, where I completed the entire five-course series offered to independent piano technicians:

  • Technical Strategies for Institutional Technicians

  • Concert and Artist Service

  • Damper Installation and Service

BACKGROUND

I have an undergraduate degree in Voice from Concordia University, River Forest, Illinois. I sang for 23 years as a professional member of the Chicago Symphony Chorus and for 10 years in the Supplemental Chorus of the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
